Food is Taking Too Long
If your food cycle is taking longer than expected, it could be due to several factors such as food type, amount, or pre-freezing.
- Typical cycles range from 14 to 40 hours.
- Start with smaller batches and pre-freeze food if possible. Read More About Food Timing
Unable to Achieve Low Temperature (Blue Screen)
If your CUBE freeze dryer is showing a blue screen or failing to reach the necessary low temperature, it could be caused by room temperature.
What is the ambient temperature of the freeze dryer location?
A hot room may cause the freezer not to function properly.
Temperatures of 85°F and warmer may cause the Cube to fail.
If the Cube is in a climate controlled space below 85°F, please contact P4L support for a Functionality Test. You may be asked to measure temperature with an infrared thermometer, which can be easily purchased at Walmart, Amazon, or many grocery stores in the barbecue section.
- Avoid placing your freeze dryer in rooms above 85°F.
