Freeze-Dried Lemonade

Summer just says lemonade! Why not treat yourself or your loved ones to this delicious, sweet but tart refreshing classic?

  • 2 large lemons with pith removed
  • 4 Tbls. plus 1 tsp.  granulated sweetener of choice 
  • 5 cups cold water

Directions

Wash 2 lemons thoroughly. Cut into slices or quarters. Do not remove the rind.

Remove the pith from the lemons.

Puree in a blender. 

Add 4 Tbls. plus 1 tsp.  granulated sweetener of choice and 5 cups cold water.

Pour onto freezer dryer trays lined with silicone mats.

Freeze dry. 

Crush into powder and store effectively.

Combine ⅓ cup powder and 1 cup water to reconstitute.

Chill before serving.

How does one cut the lemons without removing the rind and then remove the pith before blending? Super not clear or you need an instructional video.
